I cannot stress enough the perks of just drawing a map of your landscape, and marking down all the special shit in it.
The old fox hole where you stow offerings, or the fallen tree in the park that no one ever seems to see.
Maybe the building where the fey live.
Because it’s like a handy little addressbook and you can go “Well shit… I can just walk down to the weird wolf-thing that lives in the spillway about running off that asshole spirit.”
